We didn’t see Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey or Adam Sandler there but we did get the best table in the house...

Where To Eat Along The Amalfi Coast...
If you’re wondering where to eat along the Amalfi Coast, we can thoroughly recommend Lo Scoglio da Tommaso in Nerano’s Marina del Cantone.
Popular with the yachting community, who moor up nearby, this family-owned restaurant has a prime location on this stretch of beach and a wonderful, open deck extending into the sea (with its own boat deck) offering spectacular panoramic views.
The restaurant is beautifully unpretentious and the menu offers some very appealing choices, both for food and wine.
Having previously read a Conde Nast Traveller feature recommending the restaurant’s famous Spaghetti con le Zucchini, on picking up the menu I thought my choice was already made. How far wrong I was...
Restaurante Lo Scoglio has its very own farm to grow fresh produce and proudly showcases this at the forefront of their menu and with menu specials. The waiters also helpfully communicate the fresh fish of the day options - cooked in a variety of mouthwatering options.
Unable to make up my mind, the team were wonderfully accommodating and made me a special starter portion of their famous Spaghetti dish, which then meant I could have Salt Oven Baked Seabass as my main.
We watched the sun set over the sea whilst enjoying a final sweet treat of chocolate cake.
We left the restaurant thoroughly enchanted, curious about what the unassuming, adjoining hotel might be like with its pretty little balconies overlooking the sea.
On the way out we passed a beautiful vintage Porsche on one side and a sprawling golden retriever on the other...a last reminder of the relaxed charm this place has.
Definitely book in advance, especially for week-ends and peak holiday periods.
Request a table on the far right side with a view on the bay.
Take a shawl or light jumper in case you feel the cold.
